A quick review- Live clean shampoo & conditioner

Top - Live clean apple cider clarifying shampoo
Bottom - live clean exotic nectar argon oil conditioner
Middle - The shortbread cookies I made :)

Let me start off by saying that in general I am sufficiently disappointed...even in the cookies.

Lets begin with good..

All Live Clean products are 98% plant derived - Pure vegan - SLS/ Sulfate free - Paraben free-Certified organic botanicals - Petroleum free - DEA free - Phthalate free - Biodegradable ingredients - Recyclable packaging- And most importantly..Never tested on animals.

Live Clean exotic nectar argon oil conditioner

This was a very small bottle, considering what I have been used to. The bottle only ended up lasting just less than a month. I hate having to go repurchase shampoo&conditioner all the time so I usually end up buying the larger bottles (  IF I like product of course) But they only come in the one size (350ml/ 12 U.S Fl. oz)

The conditioner has the most lovely nutty scent! And lingers lightly on the hair after drying. This is a big bonus for those who like nutty scents like moi.

I apply my conditioner to whatever hair would fall from a ponytail to keep my roots from getting overly moisturized and greasy. This conditions fairly well. It's definitely not a disappointment, but on the other hand it wasn't exceptional. I've had other conditioners do a better job.

All in all while my hair had a heavenly scent to it, it was left just feeling blah-
I wouldn't repurchase this myself again but if it was given to me I wouldn't hesitate to use it again as a substitute.

Live Clean apple cider clarifying shampoo

Again, small bottle. For shampoo this isn't an issue for me because I don't go through shampoo quite as fast as conditioner. And again one size (350ml/ 12 U.S Fl. oz).

The scent again is incredible! Smells like a very potent batch of apple cider. So yummy! This was the only fun part of the shampoo though.

I apply my shampoo to the roots of my hair and massage into my scalp. I leave out the ends because I don't want to strip my locks of moisture, and when I rinse the shampoo will gently cleanse them as much as needed.

At first this seems like a very nice shampoo. My hair felt cleansed. The scent was great. It wasn't until I had used it a few times that I really got to see what was in store for me.

I like to wash my hair every other day to keep it healthy and strong. And I have never ever had a problem with 2nd day hair before, till this shampoo.  The day after my roots were so greasy and flat that I HAD to wash my hair again. I wasn't sure if this was the shampoo or not so I continued to use it. I have been using this product for almost 2 months and this has happened each time.

So while the first day is nice and pleasant. The 2nd day is a greasy mess that I hope to never endure again.  I have about 4-6 washes left in the bottle. And I will use it up, I hate to waste. But when the bottle is finished  I will recycle it away and never look back again....

DIY- Hair Treatments

Now I'm not sure if I have a stomach flu or if my stomach is taking the blunt from me being so stressed and upset the last few days but never the less I need to get out of bed and write a blog post.

I've been having one of those times in my life where everything seems to be falling apart, and being through one of these times before, and making it out alive I know deep down everything is going to be okay.

But what do you do when your sad...You treat yourself.

Professional treatments can be expensive, maybe you don't like to use chemicals, maybe you just need to have some fun...whatever your reason why not try a DIY hair treatment. All you have to do is look in your kitchen!

PS. This girls fake eyelashes are amazing.
Now I want some!

Smooth with Olive oil - Super simple.Throw a towel in the dryer to warm up. Some people say a damp towel in the microwave but the idea of putting a towel in the microwave freaks me out. Coat your hair evenly from top to bottom with extra virgin olive oil. then wrap the warm towel around your head to lock in the heat. Sit for about 30-40 minutes. Or do homework, play a game, watch a movie, whatever. Then Shower, wash your hair with your regular shampoo. *Make sure your really shampoo your scalp so there is no oily residue*  Your hair is going to be unbelievably soft.

Boost protein with Egg&Honey- Mix together 1-3 eggs depending on how long and thick your hair is, and mix with equal parts of honey in a bowl.  Again throw a warm towel around your head (locks in the heat, and stops any potential messes) and wait about 20-30 minutes. Then rinse and shampoo.

Nourish and volumize with Avocado&Honey&Olive Oil - Mash together 1/2- 1 whole avocado depending on your hair length. Add a tablespoon of honey and a tablespoon of olive oil. Mix together. Apply to the middle of the hair shaft and work your way down concentrating on your ends. leave 10-15 minutes. wash away and shampoo.

Soften with  Mayonnaise- The grossest smelling of them all! And all it is...is plain mayo. Nasty? yes. But do you end up with silky soft hair? yes.  I just coated my entire head and left it for 5-10 minutes. (that's as long as I could because the smell was over powering. Then wash away with water and shampoo hair.

Shine with Beer- * If you are underage please ask your parents first. Trust me. When I was 16 and did this my parents saw the empty can and thought I drank it and I got in trouble. It didn't help that it was Sunday morning either. *

Unlike the other options, this isn't going to make your hair soft and smooth. This is going to add a very high amount of shine to your hair. It's incredible. And no, it doesnt' make your hair look greasy, just soooo healthy. Shampoo hair. condition. rinse. then poor beer throughout your strand *as your still in the shower* and rinse again.

Color Boost for Brunettes  with Cocoa&Honey&Vinegar&Yogurt - 1/2 cup cocoa, 1/2 cup yogurt, 1 tablespoon honey, 1/2 tablespoon of vinegar (apple cider vinegar works best) Mix to a pasty consistency and apply after shampooing. Leave for about 4-5 minutes and rinse.

Color Boost for Blondes with Potato&Chamomiles&Lemon- grate potato and mix with enough lemon juice to form a paste. add 1/3 cup of chamomile tea and spread evenly throughout hair. Wrap a warm towel around head or plastic cap to seal in heat. leave for about 10 minutes and rinse out.

HOW TO - Curing Dry&Chapped Winter Hands

How to cure dry, chapped Hands

1)Moisturize!
This is such a simple tip, but it does wonders. Carry a small tube in your bag, have some in your washroom, keep some by your bed. JUST KEEP SOME NEAR!

2)Switch to a moisturising cream hand soap!
They are just as cleansing as regular hand soap, so why dry out your hands when you can soften them? Bath&Body Works has a great line of moisturizing hand soaps in tons of scents. And they always have sales. Also every drugstore carries them, just make sure you read the labels first.

3) Exfoliate!
It's going to to take a very long time to soften up your hands if you still old dry dead skin lingering on them. You can find scrubs at drugstores, body shops, or even DIY recipes. My easy DIY hand scrub is just a bit of sugar mixed with olive oil. Another is baking soda mixed with water to create a paste. All you do after you have your scrub is rub gently over any dry areas. Yes.. really. That simple. Then wash away.

4)Olive oil!
I like to use this as a cuticle treatment mostly but it's very moisturizing for skin and hair as well.
Just dip you hands in olive oil for about 5 minutes and massage into your skin then wash away.

5)Wear your gloves!
Cold weather and wind can suck out moisture from your paws. Gloves aren't just cute. They keep your hands warm and act as a barrier against cold windy weather.

Too Faced Natural Eye Palette

Too Faced Natural Eye Palette
CND $45/US $36

Not going to lie... this was the very first eyeshadow palette i've ever boughten. It took me whats felt like decades to find one that was a perfect fit for me. Since palettes can be so exspensive, I didn't want to just go out and buy one for the sake of it and then never even touch half of the eyeshadows. So I did my research like a good little girl and after much dismay found the Too Faced Natural eyeshadow palette. I've owned it about 4-5 months now and it's been used about 90% of the days since then.

It's a gorgeous compact palette with 9 eyeshadows (3 large, 6 small)
I wouldn't say that these colors are anything "natural" but they definitely aren't anything crazy and wild. They are the perfect everyday shades. And that's exactly what I was looking for! You have colors that can be used on the brow bone, lid, inner corner, outer V, crease, and even can replace your eyeliner. Serisouly everywhere! It also comes with 3 look cards for DAY/CLASSIC/FASHION, but even after the looks you can do are endless. The one real downside is that "Nude Beach" has some major fallout, but nothing that can't be fixed with a primer/glitter glue and a steady hand.

Top to bottom
L to R

Heaven: A matte cream. Perfect for under the arch. Almost a dupe for MAC's brule but slightly more opaque.
Velvet revolver: A matte nude/lightbrown. (I want to say cool-toned camel)
Sexpresso: A matte dark chocolate brown
Silk teddy: Mettalic pink chapagne. Slight fallout if not used with a primer.
Push up: A chocolate rose gold.
Erotica: A dark taupe with gold shimmer
Nude beach: Pink chapagne glitter. Looks slightly lighter than silk teddy in pan but when swatched is the exact same color in a glitter form.*MAJOR FALLOUT*
Honey pot: Metallic muted gold
Cocoa puff: milk chocolate brown with golden shimmer

I adore this palette. I can create an endless amount of looks, without having to bring an army of eyeshadows. This isn't the most inexspensive palette but if these eyeshadows are in your everyday color range than the price is worth it, and you WILL get your moneys worth.

Brazened Honey Lush Mask

BRAZENED HONEY FACE MASK BY LUSH
Description on pot reads:
Refreshing herbs and fruit juices are blended with warming ayurvedic herbs and spices. With ground almonds to polish and moisturizing honey, this blend leaves the skin vibrent and revitalized.

If all I had to describe this product was one word it would be OMG
Lush has some unbelievably amazing skin care products, but their fresh face masks are top of my list! The brazened honey was actualy the first face mask I had ever used from lush and is still one of my top 2 favorites. The scent and the product aren't the loveliest, but when it works! Brazened honey refreshes tired overworked skin. It softens and soothes while detoxing pores. I love to use this mask after a long day of wearing makeup, on those not so wonderful morninsg when I wake up dehydrated, or simply just whenever I feel my skin needs a boost.

All you do is start with cleansed skin. Apply a generous layer around the face and neck and wait 5-10 minutes( I do 20. shhh!) then when your face feels like it's turned into cement, splash with warm water and masage the ground almonds to exfolaite before you rinse all the mask away.

Mask before bed and after a sneak in the neighbours hotub (excuse the hair)

I just friggen love this face mask so much!!  It's like I had my boring old face and after the mask I just rinsed it away and all I had left was beautiful soft skin!! My pores feel clean! I have that wonderful feeling where my skin isn't dry and it isn't oily, it's just hydrated...and my skin is so smooth!!! like baby butt smooth!! All i want to do is touch my skin!! Seriously everyone needs to try this out at least once in their life. It's a spa feeling at home for less than $8.

The only downside is the mask only lasts 3 weeks since the ingredients are fresh. So I wouldn't bother buying 1 or 2 two at the most at one time. but other than that the brazened honey face mask from lush is incredible. Everytime I use it I can't believe that it's actualy MY skin on my face!
